Thurston County Parks and Recreation is proud to present KIDS DAY Saturday, July 19 at Sylvester Park in Olympia from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.  This is a FREE extravaganza for children and their families celebrating Lakefair 2008 and fitting our 2008 Theme “Family, Community, Friends”

 Is Your Group Interested in Participating?

You are invited to be part of the fun at Kids Day by providing a free youth oriented activity, craft or demonstration, centered on physical fitness, health and wellness.  No sales of any kind are allowed at Kids Day.  Children that visit your booth are encouraged to engage in interactive play and leave with a new creation focused on health and wellness. 

Below are examples activities that have been offered in the past and some ideas for this year:

Jump rope making, tumble bus and gymnastics demonstrations, martial arts demonstrations, face painting, I-denti-kit, children’s book give-away, yo-yo making, paint-a-pot, Summer Olympic’s games and crafts, stilt making, physical fitness challenge, and many more…

Need an idea? We can help! 

If your organization would rather not worry about choosing an activity or craft, Thurston County Parks and Recreation will create an activity, provide supplies, and arrange a booth.  Your organization is responsible for arriving at Kids Day ready to facilitate the activity.  The sponsoring fee is $100 per booth, and your organization’s name and logo will be advertised as the booth sponsor. 

Whether you are sponsoring a booth or presenting your own activity, please feel free to distribute business cards, flyers, or promotional products on your business.  There are a limited number of presenter spaces available, some with electricity. All presenters are asked to provide their own tables/chairs.
