How can I participate in the Lakefair Grand Parade

To enter into the Lakefair Grand Parade you must first submit an application.  Entry applications must be submitted electronicaly via this web site.  Applications are accepted starting in early May and are not accepted after July 1st.  If you would like information CLICK HERE

Can politicians or candidates running for a political office enter the parade?

Lakefair is dedicated to the cities of Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater and with that in mind, the ONLY public office holders that are invited to participate in our parade are the Mayors of each city or in their abscence their offically designated replacement.

Lakefair wishes to hold and present a "Family Friendly" parade.

Where does the parade take place?

The parade is held on Capitol Way and 5th Avenue. 

It starts at 20th Avenue and  Capital Way and proceeds down Capitol to 5th Avenue where it turns left.  It continues down 5th Avenue ending at Simmons St and 5th Avenue.

When does the parade start?

Pre-Parade - 4:30p.m.

Parade - 5:00p.m.

How many entries are in the parade and how long does it last?

Our Lakefair Grand Parade averages about 110 to 120 entries. 

We try our best to limit the parade to 2 hours.
